A little Aussie souvenir

I like Guns N’ Roses, I like fast cars.  What a better way to combine both.  I really wish this kind of event would be held in Montreal, where I live!  It would just be fucking amazing!  So here’s a little souvenir of last year’s Sydney Telstra 500 held in Sydney.  GRREAT way to start a day isn’t it?

A dose of GnR…!

Couldn’t help it.  I was looking for some cool videos on youtube, and found out that one.  VERY good quality.  Fuck!  I really miss rocking it out with Axl and the boys!  Hope to see those fuckers soon!

Hope some good news comes along soon!

One of the best video of the last tour!

I had this video of SORRY on my computer favorites for quite some time now.  And I always wanted to slip it on my blog, cause that video is just fucking insane.  The whole song is perfect.  The video is almost perfect.

I love that song so much.  It is one of my favorite from Chinese Democracy.  The groove in it, the lyrics, the vibe of it in general.  I just wanted to let you guys know that.  This song is plain and simple AMAZING!

If you didn’t see that video just yet, it’s time to watch it, if you don’t know the song…you’re an idiot, and if you did watch that video, but wanna re watch it….Be my guest!

Thanks to Cotis for the amazing video!

You like to hurt me
You know that you do
You like to think
In some way
That it’s me
And not you
(But we know that isn’t true)

You like to have me
Jump an’ be good
But I… don’t want to do it

You don’t know why
I won’t act the way
You think I should

You thought they’d make me
Behave and submit

What were you thinking
‘Cause I don’t forget

You don’t know why
I won’t give in
To hell with the pressure
I’m not cavin’ in

You know that I
Got under your skin
You sold your soul
But I won’t let you win

You talk too much
You say I do
Difference is nobody cares about you

You’ve got all the answers
You know everything
Why nobody asked you
It’s a mystery to me

I’m sorry for you
Not sorry for me
You don’t know who in the hell to
Or not to believe

I’m sorry for you
Not sorry for me
You don’t know who you can trust now
Or you should believe
You should believe
You don’t know who you can trust now
Or you should believe

You close your eyes
All well an’ good
I’ll kick you ass
Like I said that I would

You tell them stories they’d rather believe
Use and confuse them
They’re numb and naïve

The truth is the truth hurts
Don’t you agree?

It’s harder to live
With the truth about you
Than to live with
The lies about me

Nobody owes you
Not one goddamn thing
You know where to put your
‘Just shut up and sing’

I’m sorry for you
Not sorry for me
You don’t know who in the hell to
Or not to believe
I’m sorry for you
Not sorry for me
You chose to hurt those that love you
An’ won’t set them free
Won’t set them free
You chose to hurt those that love you
An’ won’t set them free

You don’t need
Anyone else to be
Sorry for you
You’ve got no heart
You can’t see
All that you’ve done for me
I know the reasons
You tear me apart

RockStar Weekly Guns N’ Roses set list magazine

GREAT THING TO BUY!

Taken from :

http://www.rockstarweekly.com/rockstar-weekly-guns-n-roses-set-lists-magazine-now-available.html

RockStar Weekly is pleased to announce the second release in our Tour Edition Collection. This time out we’re looking at the 2009-2010 Guns N’ Roses Chinese Democracy Tour with a 60 page collection of set lists from the entire tour. The magazine is being printed and distributed by Hewlett-Packard Development Company production service MagCloud.

We saw some incredible set lists on this tour, including a 42-song outing in Tokyo, Japan which lasted 3 hours and 37 minutes. Let’s hope that show finds it’s way to official DVD/Blu-Ray release. In traditional GNR manner, the set list changes are frequent and the lengths of the shows range from 21 to 42 songs. The band also had fun performing several covers as full songs or instrumentals during the tour. The complete list of songs performed is below. This book also contains a great fan story from Elías Helgi, who went from Iceland to Canada to see GNR.

We hope you enjoy this collection of set lists from the 2009-2010 GNR tour dates – It’s the only collection of its kind available in printed matter and would be a great memento if you attended one of the shows.
As a bonus, RockStar Weekly will donate $1.00 from each magazine sold to Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal’s favourite charity – the Multiple Sclerosis Research Foundation.

December 7th, 2010 Adelaide, SA, Australia @ Adelaide Entertainment Centre

Great gig coming your way Adelaide people.  Hope you guys will enjoy it.

History

The AEC was established by the Government of South Australia in response to demand from the people of South Australia for a suitable venue for international and local popular entertainment. Apollo Stadium, which had been Adelaide’s primary venue for indoor attractions since 1969, was increasingly considered to be too small to meet this need. The AEC was built at a cost of $44 million, and was officially opened on 20 July 1991[3] by John Bannon, the then Premier of South Australia.

The South Australian Government assigned responsibility for the management of the AEC to the Grand Prix Board in 1989. In August 1998, the Government established the Adelaide Entertainments Corporation. The first Board of Directors for the AEC was formally appointed on 9 February 1999. The current Board consists of seven Directors.

In 2007, the Rann Government announced plans to renovate the Adelaide Entertainment Centre. The State Government released the statement: “The State Government is committed to the vision of creating a vibrant entertainment and media precinct on the Adelaide Entertainment Centre Site”. On 6 August 2007, the renovation plans were passed[by whom?] and construction began on the $52 million upgrade. Tourism Minister Jane Lomax-Smith said: “the upgrade comes on the back of a record-breaking last 12 months, with more than 370,000 passing through the centre’s doors, and record profits recorded.”[citation needed]

The renovation included: major upgrades of the foyer, backstage area and corporate facilities; creation of additional car parking; new staging and curtains; renovation of administration areas; and restoration of the heritage-listed Revelations Chapel for use as a wedding and function venue. 8000 new seats were also installed.

Centre features

The footprint of the site is 28,900 square metres, (approx 3 ha or 7 acres), and includes a large foyer area, a 2,680 square metre event arena, seven function rooms, car parking, logistic facilities and administrative offices. The arena is the largest auditorium in South Australia.

The centre it is capable of operating in several different modes, including an ‘intimate’ mode (2,000-4,500 patrons), end stage mode (4,500-7,500 patrons) and ’360 degree’ mode. With a general admission floor and Corporate level seating, the maximum capacity of the AEC is 12,000.

The AEC has a complete in-house catering operation that provides for audience food and beverage requirements, as well as banquet, function, seminar, tradeshow, corporate suites and backstage requirements. The AEC also provides corporate hospitality in the form of 31 suites that are leased on a 2 – 5 year basis.

Car Parks

On site parking is available for approximately 700 cars, however, early arrival is recommended for concert goers and the normal cost is $10. Park & Ride is now operating from 6:30am to 6:30pm, 7 days a week, for minimal charge of $2 per day and free tram ride to the City.

Transport

A Taxi stand is situated on Port Road directly adjacent to the main entrance of the AEC. Bus stops are located on Port Road and Manton Street (rear of the AEC) within close walking distance. The Bowden Train Station is located within a minute’s walking distance from the main entrance of the AEC. The completion of the new tram extension, which stops at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre Station, allows further access to and from the City and Glenelg.

Ticketing

All tickets for concerts or events at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre can be purchased through Ticketek on 132 849 or online at www.ticketek.com.au.
